Dr Maurice NIATY-MOUAMBA is a Transport Economist and Civil Engineer Economist, with 37 years of professional experience in the above-mentioned fields. This professional experience was gained working in the public business sector and administration, as well as in consulting firms and intergovernmental organizations in charge of regional and continental integration.
He was also Associated Consultant for the Centre for the Development of Enterprise, an ACP-European Union Group, focusing on the challenge of capacity building of the private sector in the infrastructure area.
He was a member of the UITP Working Group from 2003 to 2005 brainstorming on "Public Transport by 2020".
He was a Consultant to the African Union Commission, where he participated right from the outset in drafting of the Terms of Reference and the management of the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) Studies.
Dr. Maurice NIATY-MOUAMBA is President of International Solidarity for Transport and Research in Sub-Saharan Africa (SITRASS), the first network of transport experts working for Africa.
He also held political and administrative positions in his home country (Republic of Congo) in the Parliament, the Government and the Interior Administration.
